ABOUT YOU

"A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step."

- Lao Tzu, Ancient Chinese philosopher and poet

Are you thinking about talking to a counsellor or therapist because you feel unhappy and yearn for changes in your life?

There are many different reasons why people seek out a counsellor or therapist. These may include:

  • • Feeling stuck and unfulfilled;
    • Experiencing a crisis or end of your relationship;
    • Feeling overwhelmed in dealing with everyday life;
    • Feeling alone and lonely;
    • Issues with sexuality;
    • Grieving the loss of a loved one;
    • Struggling with fertility issues;
    • Parenting struggles and challenges
    • Feeling ashamed about same sex attraction;
    • Struggling with substance abuse;
    • Feeling triggered by your own children (and parenting becomes extra stressful instead of enjoyable and fulfilling)

    • Wanting to explore and change particular behaviour patterns;
    • Reflecting on a relationship where you don't feel loved, appreciated or accepted;
    • Looking for a more satisfying connection in your intimate relationship;
    • Feeling a sense of not belonging or prejudged due to cultural difference.
    • Feeling unresolved.

CLIENTS I SEE

I work with a broad range of clients. I see people who initially might be at a low point in their lives and are looking to find the courage, trust and resilience to make life worth living. Or people who simply take time and energy in their life to deepen their relationship they share with themselves.
I also see couples. They might have reached a point of crisis and question the future of their relationship or realise without deliberate work on their relationship it will end in a separation.
Engaging in therapy can support these processes and enable desire for change and growth and allow you to live and your life and your relationship with greater creativity, respect and self-esteem.
